SERIOUS FISHING.
We have over 30 Years of experience guiding fishing charters in and around the waters of Winyah Bay, North Inlet, and the Santee Delta. Solo anglers or small groups, fly fishing, surfcasting, in the creeks or at the jetties – we will put you on top of the fish every time!
Captain Matt Wilkinson grew up fishing the waters of Winyah Bay. With a childhood spent living on the remote and protected Yawkey Preserve on South Island, by the time Captain Matt was in his teens he knew better than most the creeks and savannah behind Cape Romain, the Santee Rivers delta, and Winyah Bay up into North Inlet and Pawleys Island. He has been professionally guiding fishing trips since 1986.
Always a waterman, Captain Matt also fishes the offshore regions of the Lowcountry, out chasing down pelagics and billfish at the helm of a 53′ Ricky Scarborough sportfishing boat.
Whether you are in Myrtle Beach, Pawleys, or anywhere else in the Grand Strand area and want to spend some time fishing, Georgetown Charters offers you several options in order to provide you the best fit for your schedule, party size, budget, or other consideration.
Our standard offerings are for inshore 1/2 Day, 3/4 Day, and Full Day trips for up to four anglers.
Beyond these choices, we also offer special options like surf fishing trips, near-shore trolling for mackeral, bottom fishing, 1-2 angler skinny water fly fishing, and can even arrange for large party/multiple boat outings, an event we have found to be excellent for corporate team building.
Georgetown Charters is one of the oldest and most experienced fishing guide companies in the area. Give us a call to find out what best fishing- and *catching* – solution we have for you!
“Spring Red!”
Winyah Bay is warming up for the spring season here in the Lowcountry, and along with the warmer weather comes more bait and that means – big fish!
Like this gorgeous Red.
Red’s are also known as spottail bass or redfish, and extra large ones are called “Channel Bass”. Though too big to take home and eat, the big ‘uns sure are lots of fun when you get one on the other end of your fishing line!
Congratulations on your Catch of the Week!
