Mullet are a common fish to the area, and while rarely eaten by people, they can be used for bait in a number of ways. Small "finger" mullet as live bait for meatfish, larger mullet for bait for large sportfish like tarpon, or as cut bait for bottom fishing both in- and off-shore.
